These are some gorgeous really unusual RED earrings that look like they might be bakelite. They dont test with 409 and I have no Simi chrome, but they are greasy like bakelite and unlike celluloid or plastic. These are French wire lever back earrings with gilt brass snakes that hold the double loops. The length is 3 ¼" The bottom beads are large and odd shaped, not round. It has all the characteristics of a marbleized cherry bakelite. I have been told that some bakelite is harder to test than others and I guarantee this is OLD. The patina on this is rich and the earrings are in great condition. Truly something you rarely see and a must for higher end collectors.
