Vintage Egyptian REVIVAL Earrings RED bakelite SNAKE Drop

These are some gorgeous really unusual RED earrings that look like they might be bakelite. , . These are French wire lever back earrings with gilt brass snakes that hold the double loops. The length is 3 ¼" The bottom beads are large and odd shaped, not round. It has all the characteristics of a  cherry bakelite. I have been told that some bakelite is harder to test than others and I guarantee this is OLD. Tthey are greasy like bakelite and unlike celluloid or plastic. The patina on this is rich and the earrings are in great condition.
