Early Antique Green & Cream Spongeware Pitcher

Unavailable
Early handmade green and cream spongeware pitcher, believed to be 19th century yellowware piece. This pitcher was most likely used to hold milk. It was hand-coiled at the bottom, and has raised rings around the top and bottom, and an unusual angular handle. The pitcher measures about 7 inches high and 5.25 in diameter at the base; it is slightly wider at the base than at the top. Condition is good to very good, especially for its age. There are two small shallow chips and 2 tiny shallow chips on the inside rim, overall crazing, some interior darkened areas from age and use, and some stress cracks around where the handle is securely attached. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging will be $12.50.
