For Sale is a Wonderful piece of Carnival Glass made by The Dugan Glass Company of Indiana, Pa. The shape is a Banana Boat or Bowl and the pattern is known as "Stippled Petals".
The interior of the Bowl depicts heavily stippled petals joined in the center and alternating long and short petals. The exterior pattern is "Long Leaf". It has nice iridescence on the interior of the piece with wonderful hues of Fuchsia, Blue, and Teal on a Gold Background. The iridescence is so strong on the inside that you can also see it through the exterior on the marigold portion of the piece. The color of the Bowl is "Peach Opalescent" with the milky white opalescence graduating in density up to the ruffled rim where there is a nice white band on the exterior outer edge. This bowl has the typical domed foot found on this pattern.
The Bowl is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no nicks, chips, cracks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be Dugan's "Stippled Petals" Carnival Glass Pattern.
The Bowl is early as it is made, Circa 1904-1931.
