For Sale is a Wonderful piece of Carnival Glass made by The Dugan Glass Company of Indiana, Pa. The shape is a Compote and the pattern is known as "Coin Spot".
The interior of the Compote is plain and the exterior has alternating concave plain flutes with indented oval thumbprints in between. These thumbprints go all the way to the knuckle on the stem of the piece. It has nice iridescence on the interior of the piece with wonderful hues of Fuchsia, Blue, and Teal on a Gold Background. The color of the Compote is "Peach Opalescent" with the milky white opalescence graduating in density up to the ruffled rim where there is a nice white band on the exterior outer edge. This piece has a clear stepped foot.
The Compote is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no nicks, chips, cracks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be Dugan's "Stippled Petals" Carnival Glass Pattern.
The Compote was made Circa 1904-1931.
