Dore Bronze Rococo Chippendale Louis XV Style Mirror

This exceptional ormolu bronze mirror in the Chippendale or Louis XV rococo style dates from the late nineteenth century, and features an asymmetrical frame with acanthus leaf decoration, green and white Jasperware porcelain roundel (possibly by Wedgwood) depicting frolicking cherubs, and surmounted by a brilliant sunburst motif. It is stamped " EB/2182 ". Maker is unknown. It measures 40'' tall, 22" wide and 3" deep, and weighs an estimated 90-120 lbs.
