Description:
Beautiful Whitney embossed 1880-1910 Lace Die-Cut Valentine. The embossed background is in vibrant blue flowers and gold edging. The lace die-cut has great detail. On the lace are layered 4 die-cut scrapes of 2 valentines, a basket of flowers, and a sweet child. The inside has a lovely line drawing of two children sitting on a bench. The poem underneath is "There may be some as pretty, and others just as witty, but while my heart is beating, I'll ever keep repeating, It is you I want, my dearest, only you. It is signed on the inside by Marjorie Albright. On the back is the Whitney, Worcester, Mass. mark.It is in beautiful condition and has some very slight foxing that would be expected on such a vintage valentine.
