Description: Check out this unique Victorian bed! Someone ingeniously took a rosewood Victorian sofa and adapted it to use as a free standing headboard. The 3/4 size mattress and box springs fits perfectly and rests on a separate metal frame. The carvings of the large shell and flowers are life like and beautifully detailed. The legs and arms are curvaceous and delicately carved. The fabric is deeply tufted and serves as the perfect padded headboard. The rosewood is in excellent condition and has a rich color and patina. The fabric is in very good to excellent condition. The frame is sturdy and tight. The length of a 3/4 size mattress is the same length of a double or full size mattress. The width is halfway between the size of a single and a double mattress - 46" wide. The price of the headboard includes the used mattress and box springs if desired. New 3/4 mattresses can be ordered and purchased via the web.
