Description: A beautiful pair of blackamoor candle bearers attributed to Seguso, circa 1950, in original excellent condition, Cherry red tunics embellished with gold, the legs and base are of clear glass with gold. We have been very kindly informed by Sylvia Hamowy, that this style of Blackamoor Candlebearers were designed by her father Jack Blanco, owner of J.I.& Co,(Jordans Importing Company of New York) and commissioned from Archimede Seguso, they featured in the J.I.Co.'s 5th Avenue Showroom, Manhattan, New York, in the 1950's. Archimede Seguso exported from Murano Italy, to Jordans Importing Company of New York, in the 1950's, with the label "Hand Made Venetian J I Co Made in Italy".
