These powerful jewels, Pools of Light as they have come to be known, are as rare and spectacular as the elusive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Our provenance tells us that these undrilled quartz miniature crystal balls were procured at an antique market on the outskirts of Paris many years ago. The original owner, Mme. Svetlanka of Romania, smuggled these rare, silver ensconced "pools," into France with her . She secreted these precious jewels within the hem of her flamboyant skirt when she fled Romania. We are hoping that there is a "Svetlanka- chosen" recipient out there who is pre-destined to temporarily own the powers represented by these rare and stunning jewels. Could it be you? And if you need a little history on these mystical jewels here is a little background information. For thousands of years this optically clear quartz ( also called rock crystal) has been used as gemstones because of its enchanting ability to absorb and affect light in the way that it does. Images viewed through genuine rock crystal balls appear to be reversed or upside down ( see photo). They are brilliant, luminous and will be a conversation piece wherever worn. These literal works of art are finely crafted and are from turn of the century . This necklace has 14 UNDRILLED genuine rock crystal orbs which measure 5/8” or 15mm. The necklace measures 19 1/4” long. Each ball is wrapped in sterling silver wire and linked with a beautiful chain between each. The chain has a nice patina to it as I’ve not cleaned it up in order to maintain its vintage appearance. The long deco earrings have a single orb that dances in the light as you move. They are screw on and measure 1 ¼” long. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT set!!!) . Since this is Irreplaceable there can be no returns on this sale. Please use photos to make your decisions.
