Description: This large old map measures 24 1/2" x 20 1/2" and apart from some creases and one very small tear on one edge, it is in very good condition for age.On the back there is an inscription hand written in Indian Ink that says... 44 L'ARTOIS. The date 1742 is written in pencil on one border....I have ...rightly or wrongly...taken this as the date of the map. This item will be airmailed in a cylinder for protection....was framed under glass originally but we are selling without glass or frame for safety purposes.
