A quality desk compendium in a gilded and brass case. A double fluted carrying handle with central finial. Fretwork to the case top and base panels with fluted columns. An 8-day duration mechanism with lever escapement. Enamel clock and barometer dials with blued steel hands. An inset compass to the aperture above the barometer with a silvered scale. Circa 1895.
