Deckel Vernier Calipers w/Case

Unavailable
Offering this hard to find vernier caliper marked "ORIGINAL DECKEL GERMANY" on the back side of the main slide. The main section has graduations in 1/1000" and 1/128" (double scale), on one side, with graduations up to 10" for outside measurement, subtract 1/4" for inside measurement. The caliper capacity is about 7" due to the length of the slide assembly and fine adjustment section. The main section is marked by the U.S.A. importer "SCHUCHARDT & SCHUTTE 142 LIBERTY STREET NEW YORK" with this same marking on the fitted velvet lined, padded wood case, that has a leather covering. A very nicely made tool from the 1930's era, not rusty, very high quality polished tool steel, very little wear noted, an owner's name is noted in two places. This is the first we have seen by this maker, or by this importer! We are impressed with the quality of the tool and case! The case is very nice inside, near like new condition! The outside has some wear, some missing covering on the two ended, otherwise looks good, solid, with good latch and hinged. Overall a very nice, clean precision machinist tool!
Please take a few minutes to look for other machinist tools you may be looking for, as we have several hundred to choose from, both antique, and newer. We discount shipping on multi-item orders!
