This is a unique modern tintype, created in-camera by David Sokosh using the 19th century wet plate collodion process. In an antique period frame. All photographs in the series are unique originals, each created separately in camera usinig the wet plate collodion process. There are no negatives, prints or editions.

David Sokosh is a New York based photographer who uses the wet plate collodion process to create modern tintypes, done in the style of 19th century antique images. The images explore the New York photographer's collecting obsessions. From plaster casts of Renaissance sculpture to natural history materials to antique electric light bulbs--or even friends who stop by the studio, the photographs provide a rare glimpse into Sokosh’s unusual world.
