Beautiful malachite COLOR glass powder box with figural relief lid. The bottom part of the box is hand cut and polished. Designed by best of the best in Czech Perfume and Boudoir accessories - Heinrich Hoffman. The figural scene on the lid is identical to a design on the Hoffman perfume bottle listed in the Jacquelyne North book "Czechoslovakian Perfume Bottles and Boudoir Accessories", pg. 52 / #385. This powder box was undoubtedly part of the Vanity set. Signed with molded Hoffman "butterfly" (lower right corner) and paper label "Made in Czechoslovakia". Size : 6-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 2". MINT condition. Please NOTE : This is NOT currently made piece marked Made in Czech Republic.
