Cut Glass Beer Stein Pewter & Blue Glass Lid Enamel
Antique Cut Glass Footed Beer Stein estimated to be from the late 1800's The pewter thumblift and lid are very ornate. Top of lid has thick blue glass with beveled edge and hand painted enamel flowers. The pewter lid has finely detailed animals and flowers. The body of the stein has cut elongated oval shapes and top edge of the stein is ground and polished. The glass is in great condition with a few microscopic nicks on the bottom edge (very minor but we mention for accuracy) and an encapsulated bubble near the bottom. Near the top of the glass is etched with what looks like an L 1/9. It has an applied glass handle. The bottom of the stein and handle show age appropriate wear. Stein measures 8 1/2" tall to the top of the lid and weighs just over 2 pounds 2 ounces.
