Curtis Jere Metal and Wooden Owl Sculpture

Unavailable

This delightful metal sculpture of an owl by Curtis Jere is signed and dated 1969.  Measures 16 x 11 x 7 in.

Curtis Jeré was the pseudonym of the artists, Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels, brothers-in-law who in 1963 began collaborating to design and build tabletop, floor and wall sculptures, plus lighting, from brass, copper, enamel, cast bronze and stainless and chromium plated steel and metal.  Their company, Artisan House, produced and distributed their artwork across the U.S. and overseas. They sold the firm at the height of its achievement in 1972.  Freiler died in 2013 and Fels still resides in Los Angeles.
