Coffee Table with Renaissance Card Game Scagliola Motif
Unavailable
This old wooden framed coffee table dates from the early twentieth century and contains a slate top with scagliola painted playing card motif in the Italian renaissance style, after the seventeenth century designs of Laurens Bounucelie (Laurentius Bonucellie). Table top likely pre-dates the table and dates from the nineteenth century. The table measures 49" wide, 26.75" deep and 17.75" tall. There are nicks and scratches to the wooden finish, consistent with age, but the top is in excellent condition. This table resides with our client in midtown Manhattan and may be seen in person by appointment.
