To a fine quality French mantel clock veneered with rich green figured onyx and gilt bronze neoclassic trim. There are two 14 day trains for time and hour and half hour strike on a gong. The movement is mounted with a mercury compensated pendulum which is attached to a visiable dial mount anchor escapment. The case retains the beveled glass on four sides as well as turned columns also having bronze mounts. The movement is stamped "Made in France" also "Medaille D' Argent L Marti et Cie" Note: loss to some onyx at bottom rear
