Unmarked 40" diamond-section blade in the Toledo style. Large hemispherical cup guard with rolled edge and concentric rib, engraved with bands of scrolling acanthus. Interior guardapolvo of radiating flower petals, attached to the cup with two screws (one lacking). Straight 11" quillons with expanded finials and engraved scrolls; knucklebow decorated ensuite. Large pas d’ane screwed to the cup. Bun-shaped pommel with chiseled diagonal fluting and small button. Spiral copper wire grip wrap with turks heads top and bottom. All tight and sound with scattered light pitting. Overall length 46 3/4". Sword shows both Spanish and North Italian traits.
