This is a very small Best "Sad Iron". It was made as a child's toy but it is identical to the regular sized sad irons. It has the interchangeable iron base and the handle and holder unit. There is a patent date of May 22,1900 stamped into the metal handle frame. It does have tarnish on the handle part of the holder, but there is no rust. These small toy irons are quite rare and this one is in very good condition overall.
