Cheerful Vintage Fifties Georges Briard Enamel Canisters

Unavailable
Vintage mid-century signed Georges Briard enamel canisters, circa 1950's, in cheerful red, green, gold, black, and white rooster design. Georges Briard was one of the leading designers in the fifties and sixties, especially of glass and enamel items. This 4 piece set includes 2 canisters measureing approximately 8 inches high (including the lid) and 7.5 inches in diameter, and 2 canisters measuring approximately 7.5 inches high and 6.25 inches in diameter. The round black knobs are made by Daka-Ware of Chicago, a prominent maker of Bakelite knobs. These vintage pieces are in wonderful condition - bright, shiny, colorful. The canisters may have had wire handles attached at one time, as evidenced by small round indentations under the lips. One of the large lids has 3 small areas where the enamel has worn or chipped off. Otherwise these mid-century pieces show very little wear. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging / handling will be $15.00.
