Charles Boyton English Sterling Silver Regency Waiter Tray

Unavailable

This is an English sterling silver Edwards VII tea tray, made in London by Charles Boyton & Son. The rectangular tray is in the Regency style with curved edges which have been decorated with a cast and applied gadrooned border with shell motifs on its corners and midsections; similar details carry over to the, also cast and applied, handles. The reverse of the tray is fully hallmarked, it measures approx. 27” long handle-to-handle, approx. 17 ¼” wide, and weighs approx. 105 troy ounces. The tray has light surface wear, commensurate with its age, but is in good antique condition.
