Four legged bowl with beautiful incised decoration to inside of bowl - a decorative kava bowl from the Pacific island nation of Samoa. It comes from Upolu Island, east of Apia. Measures 35.5 cm diameter and 11.5 cm high (13.3/4 inches by 4.1/2 inches). Conical shape, one piece of wood. The wood used is Ifilele wood. Not old, but beautifully made. Excellent condition.
