This set of Canasta Playing Cards with Rules for Playing come with the original cardboard box. The box has wear on the edges. Both decks of cards and Official Rules appear to have never been used. The rules pamphlet states Official Rules of the Association of American Playing Card Manufacturers Incorporating the Latest Changes Made in 1950. for Canasta. The publisher was Whitman Publishing Co. Racine, Wisconsin. The paper on which the fold-out booket was printed has yellowed. The cards are colored 1950's maroon. The center Canasta is surrounded by scrolls and flowers. I remember in the Fifties my parents along with friends and relatives spending all evening playing Canasta. Uncle Jim had an astonishing memory and he usually won!
