C.1850 ENGLISH IRONSTONE TUREEN WITH UNDERPLATE

Circa 1875 English Ironstone Transferware Tureen with lovely handles and underplate with No Cover. On the bottom of both the tureen and the underplate is the number #982, which apparently would have been a pattern number. Even though the cover is missing this is a nice 19TH Century piece of English Porcelain. Without the original cover, it would make a nice decorative planter. The tureen measures 12" from handle to handle. The dimension of the top opening is 9" and the diameter of the underplate is 12 1/2". The height of the tureen is 6"
