Offering this 1920's era, patented protractor, in very good condition, design to fit most antique 12" or larger combination squares made by Brown & sharpe and some other companies too, with steel rules that are no thicker than .087" and are the standard 1.0" wide. This is a special narrow model and has a patent number on it that reflects a patent date of 1925. The patent number is on the knurled threaded thumbwheel "PATENTED 1,529,209". The protractor base is only .430" wide x 7" long, has very good angle graduations, and a good working level, good threaded screws and hardware. Complete, with about 80% of the original textured black paint intact. Some minor wear and scratches noted, but none effecting accuracy or used of this nice antique angle protractor. The edge of the base is marked "BROWN & SHARPE MFG. CO. PROVIDENCE R.I. U.S.A.". A quality machinist tool, made in U.S.A.!
