Brown & Sharpe No. 900 Cutter Clearance Gauge

$75.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice clean vintage machinist tool design for gauging the clearance angle that are ground on milling cutters, by placing the V shape of the gage against the diameter of the cutter, then pushing the gauge slide forward until it touches the cutting edge of the cutter at centerline of the cutter. The angle on the slide will reveal if the cutter has enough clearance to cut properly. This gauge is in very good condition, and can be used on cutters up to 8" in diameter. This gage comes with a wooden box, with good hinges and latches, some felt padding inside the box. A very hard to find cutter gauge!
