19th century bronze and beveled glass frame from France. Bronze plates top and bottom depicting a pair of cherubs surrounded by floral swags and acanthus leaves.Stands on curved feet with bronze easel is the back along with a loop for wall hanging if desired as well. The plates attach to a spring mechanism on the center back, pull up and disengages. Holds the 1/4 inch beveled sided glass snugly when released. This style mixes easily with other antique frames, gives a clean, yet old look and allows for floating a photo if not as large as the overall dimension. Excellent condition. Measures overall 5.5H X 3.25L X 2D with easel. Display portion of the glass less the bevel is 2.25L X 3.5H.
