We're pretty sure this little trinket box is brass but it's heavily tarnished and hard to tell. Wonderfully detailed scenes from Massachusetts are engraved on all 4 sides: the top depicts the Bunker Hill monument in Charleston, Mass., the front panel shows the State House in Boston, the back panel shows Boston's Fannuil Hall, and the two side panels show Boston's Old South Church and the New Custom House. Bottom is marked "Made in Japan" above "No. 9319" and the interior is lined with aging raspberry red satin.
