Hopalong the Deputy must be a very popular Boyds Bears Friend--this particular figurine is the 37th edition! No matter what edition, Hopalong is every bit as appealing as the first. He's a hard-working deputy, as you note from the soles of his shoes and patches in his clothes. As the deputy, he looks a little worse for the wear, but as a Boyds Bears Friends figurine, he is in excellent condition!
