An antique Boston & Sandwich pressed and blown candlestick on a square base with extended round corners. Most likely flint glass. c. 1835 - 1860 The socket is blown and held to its base with a thin wafer that extends out at the center. Pictured in "The Glass Industry in Sandwich" book by Barlow & Kaiser. There are some small chips on the bottom edges and corners with a couple of chips on the underside of the steps. Measures 8 1/8" tall. Base is Base is stepped and measures 3 5/8" x 3 5/8". Top diameter of socket is 2 3/4" diameter. 1 pound 12 ounces
