BOOKPIECE 1880's 400 Garnet WIDE bracelet

Unavailable
I have taken a photo of the book reference that shows a similar tapered bracelet like this one that has the book price at 1100.00. This one has an added feature of a large rosette on the front. You don't see real garnets from that period that often and this one is LOADED with them ( at least 400) in a pave setting. The widest part is 1 1/4" and it measures 7" long on the inside. This one has a hinge and fully working clasp ( and newer safety chain). It looks like it might have been all gold at one time but now it is silver with a hint of gold on the edges. I am not sure of the metal content except that the center front piece tested at a low KT of gold. I don't think the band is gold ( unless it is a low kt white gold) but it is a very heavy thick metal. The book I am referring to is the Jeanenne Bell victorian jewelry book. All the garnets are in this and seem to be original. I think they are all hand cut because they are different cuts and sizes. THere are a few places between them that look like something has deposited itself in them. Might be dirt.. might be glue but I have not cleaned it so I will leave that up to the new owner. Considering it is over 100 years old I am surprised that all the stones are still in it. It is a well made piece and definitely dates in the 1880's as the book says. YOu don't see ones that graduate and have an ornamental garnet center piece so you can bet it is a rarity. This is sold as is since I have not cleaned between the garnets. THere are no dings or dents either.
