Fascinating postcard for a few reasons... 1) Officers on left - one wearing top hat and another wearing early Captains hat - but look closely at their feet - I believe the images of these men were added to the original image - of the dock and boats. 2) Sailor with white hat walking with case is black. Although this is not a dated postcard I believe it is early 1900's - on his left is another officer. 3) To left of dock are two smaller boats with American flags. One has it's awning/roof up and the other is open showing sailors. 4) Back is not written on but I believe has some Japanese print on right side No postmark or writing - light soil
