This exceptional Bisque Black Boy Eating a Watermelon on Cotton Bail Figurine measures 3 1/4" in height. It is stamped on the bottom with, "Made in Japan". It is from the 1930s-40s. On the side is incided, "Products of the South". This figurine is one of several items that came out of an estate in Dallas,Texas in 1982 of a doctor and his wife who had done a considerable amount of travel and had collected Black Americana for over 50 years. If you are a collector of Black Americana then this would be a great addition to your collection! It is in very good to excellent condition - having no chips or cracks - only minor wear due to age.
