This colorful piece is an old-fashioned Beech-Nut Fruit Drops poster, which has been applied and lacquered to an antique primitive grape tray from California. The grape rack was used in the San Joaquin Valley area, the world's raisin capital, where grapes were spread upon racks in the sun and dried into raisins; this practice began in the 1850's. The grape tray measures approximately 24 inches by 17.75 inches by 2.25 inches. The poster measures approximately 20 inches by 15 inches. Please refer to the photographs for appearance and condition.
