This is a 4 piece set: Teapot, Creamer, Covered Sugar Bowl and waste . This set has a lovely c- scroll and leaf design repoussed onto the body of the piece. The die-rolled heart shaped design ( anthemion )is repeated on the top, bottom and on the body of the form. Ball Tomkins & Black were Successors to Marquand & Co. Partners were Henry Ball, Erastus O. Tompkins and William Black. Succeeded by Ball, Black & Co. in 1851. We welcome questions about this fine set that has an endearing inscription as a presentation piece( set)
