Our client's rare pair of opaline vases or planters are attributed to Baccarat and notable for their finely painted neoclassical designs of cupid and maidens, Roman ruins and putti at a fountain, and finely painted blue and deep red colors at the waist and base, plus gilding at the rim, base and waist. Apparently unsigned, not uncommonly for Baccarat opaline pieces of this kind from the 19th century. Each in good condition. One with noticeable hairlines visible at the underside. Each measures 22 by 8.75 in (56 by 22 cm).
