This delightful Antique Victorian Silver Oval Hinged Pill Box.
The top of the lid chased with Japanese Rustic Scene.
The decoration of the lid consisting of 3 Geisha girls dressed in traditional
Kimonos, fishing etc, the background with a Pagoda and sailing boat
in amongst foliate scrolls. The sides also with chased foliate scrolls.
The inside of the box enhanced with lemon gilding.
Fully hallmarked at the London Assay Office Dated 1899
Originally made in Europe, including Import Sponsor Mark: SJ /Samuel Jacob
Length: 2 inches x 1-¼ inches
Weight: 28 grams
Condition: Excellent. Commensurate with age and use.
