A very nice example of the early 19th century crca 1800 Russian Cossack’s powder horn made of hollowed–out bull horn. DETAILS: the base fitted with blackened iron covered aperture for flints, the hinged cover painted with flowers and stamped with Cyrillic inscription, mounted with hook lock, the iron muzzle with treaded screw-in stopper incorporating two rings for suspension. CONDITION: in good condition with dark age patina. Dimension: Overall length: 33cm (13 in).
