Antique Regency Style Octagonal Rosewood Tilt Top Center Table

Unavailable

This fine octagonal-shaped center or dining table features rosewood cross-banding veneer, string brass inlay, fluted center column with brass surfaces and cast acanthus leaf mounts at the base which sits upon three "s" shaped legs. Table was constructed using wooden pegs and brass screws, and the original hardware is intact including banjo catch. Table is structurally sound and the catch clasps tightly. There is crackling to the veneer in spots an obvious veneer losses and some losses to the string inlay. Patina is old and it does not appear to have been refinished. This table dates from the nineteenth century. Table measures 28.6" tall, 31" wide and 30.75" deep. Additional images forwarded upon request.
