This extraordinary ormolu bronze mantle clock by Paul Gravelin of Paris features silvered neoclassical female figures and is surmounted by a cupid with bow and arrow. The face is marked "Paul Gravelin Paris 3 Rue Charlot". Included is a pendulum marked "THIEBLE" and "SGDG" which is simply the French patent mark which stands for Sans Garantie du Gouvernement.
