Antique nuns rosary winged gothic chatelaine crucifix necklace with old medals

This huge Mother of pearl pendant holds a very medieval looking cross. Surrounding it are the teeniest pearls that form a frame around it. THe necklace is an antique rosary of black olive seeds and below the pendant is the original crucifix that was on the rosary which was not complete. As you can see on our model this is quite gothic and hangs low into the crevices of her chest. Combining antique and vintage parts and using the renaissance period as my muse, I created this fabulous altered rosary. The necklace is 23" long and is all original. The center medal is really old ( see photos up close) as is the crucifix. The whole pendant length is 8" and the width including the wings is 2 1/2". THis has good weight so it hangs well. THe mother or pearl has beautiful sheen which doesn't show up well in the photos, but when you see it against this deep antiqued brass cross, you will just love it.
