Antique early 19th century Prussian Napoleonic Light Cavalry troopers sabre 1811 pattern 'Blucher" of similar form to the British pattern 1796. Details: Plain iron stirrup hilt with knuckle bow, langets, quillon and leather covered wooden grip. Massive curved single edged blade with fuller and hatchet point in its original iron scabbard with two suspension rings. There are nice unit markings on the blade, guard and the scabbard. Condition: Pitted overall, the leather covered hilt shows wear, otherwise good condition. MEASUREMENTS: Overall length with the scabbard: 99 cm (39 in), the length without the scabbard: 94 cm (37 in), length of the blade: 81, 3 cm (32 in) width of the blade at widest point: 3, 8cm (1 1/2 in)
