Antique late 19th century Mahdist Sudanese Islamic tribal arm dagger. A straight double edged steel blade with an I shaped hardwood grip, with a disk pommel decorated with a metal domed button, in its original tooled leather scabbard, adorned with reptile skin bands, and fitted at the rear with a braided leather loop for suspension.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length in the scabbard: 24.5 cm (9 5/8 in).
CONDITION: The tip of the leather scabbard is damaged.
