19th century, signed, Japanese basket made of hand hammered sterling silver with six chiselled panels representing a crab, goldfish, shrimp, turtle and fruits. The interior is engraved with six panels representing a duck, rooster, crane, bamboo tree and flowers. The basket is resting on three feet deeply chiselled in Rococo shells with a flower in the centre. The basket is finished with a high rim and standing movable handle. On the centre of the bottom of the basket are two stamps in Japanese characters. Diameter; 6 ¼ inches (16 cm). Weight; approximately 155 grams.
