This sword is made in Germany, Solingen on base of French Napoleonic Infantry Sword-model 1812. These types of swords were used by several German states in the early 19th century. On one side on the ricasso is stamped SOLINGEN and on the other side WESIER& C. The sword is in good condition considering its age. Total length: 28 ¾ (73 cm). The heavy blade is 23 ½ inches long (59,5 cm) , width near the guard 1 3/8 (3,5 cm).
