Late, 19th century German-Bavarian Cuirassier officer’s sword. Details: the stirrup hilt with langets, wire bound black composition grip, straight single edged blade with twin fullers and spear point, engraved on both sides with Bavarian lion holding the shield and the ribbon with motto “In Treue Fest”. In its original black lacquered steel scabbard. The overall length is 92,7cm (36 ½ in). Condition: good.
