Terrific classical design based upon themes that were prominent in surface decoration during the reign of Nero as discovered in his Domus Aurea in Rome. The tile is transfer printed in brown and the yellow and blue applied by hand under a glossy glaze. The tile is in excellent original condition with an area of underglaze fritting at lower right that does not detract. Please write with any questions you may have.
