Antique English Aesthetic Gilt Tile - Peach

$225.00
Quantity available: 1
Here is an extraordinary and quintessential aesthetic movement tile from Mintons China Works. The tile is entirely handpainted in indigo and paler shades of blue overglaze on a white clay body and depicts a vigorously growing peach in full fruit breaking through the aesthetic patterned border. The field behind the peaches and at the border's edge has then been finished in a gilt overglaze as burnished and warmly reflective as the day it was applied. The tile is in excellent/very good condition with edge nibbles and wear as shown. This tile would look fantastic installed in a kitchen backsplash surrounded by white field tile... (Please also see the blue and gilt Copeland tiles that I currently have listed.) It has an attached hanger which I would be happy to remove if desired. Please write with any questions you may have.
