Beautiful antique 19th Century Edme Samson of Paris porcelain armorial vase in the manner of the British East India Company armorial porcelain. It is decorated with a hand painted shield flanked with standing hound dogs surrounded by a floral design, raised white flowers, swirls and richly gilt handles on each side. The back is also decorated with a simpler, floral design. SamsonÂ’s pieces have become collectorsÂ’ items and command record prices. In very good condition with imperfections from the time of manufacture and defect to top rim as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number. Measurements: 9 5/8" (24.4 cm) tall approximately.
